On January 30th, Mr. Zhi Yulin, the Assistant President of NORINCO Group, the President of NORINCO, held a meeting on NORINCO International Overseas Key Projects. Mr. Wang Yitong, Vice President of NORINCO, Chairman of NORINCO International, Mr. Wang Chaoqin, CFO of NORINCO, Mr. Yang Xiaoqing, Vice President of NORINCO, Mr. Luo Kaiquan, Vice President of NORINCO, Mr. Wang Chuan, Assistant President of NORINCO and heads of relevant departments from NORINCO and leaders from NORINCO International attended the meeting.

On the meeting, heads from NORINCO introduced the progress of two major projects-the 1320MW Patuakhali Thermal Power Plant in Bangladesh and the Senj Wind Farm Project in Croatia. The leaders attending the meeting fully affirmed the progress of the projects.

For the Bangladesh project, Mr. Zhi Yulin pointed out that, first of all, it is necessary to take the initiative to benchmark the same type of project based on the "Three Major Management" principle. Second, we should give full play to the overall advantages of NORINCO and actively innovate to arrange key aspects of financing and other aspects. Third, we should plan ahead and coordinate key tasks such as coal supply. Fourth, we must fulfill our corporate social responsibility. Mr. Zhi Yulin emphasized that Croatia is in the key area of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and it is NORINCO International’s first project in European market. We must strictly follow the project feasibility study arrangements, pay close attention to project management, and spare no effort to ensure the success of the project.
