Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the Secretary General for Department of Defense and the City Development of Sri Lankan and his entourage arrived in Chongqing City on 26^th Sept. 2014. Accompanied by the Deputy General Manager of Norinco International Mr. Wang Xiaobing and Assistant General Manager of Department Two of Norinco Group, Mr. Song Yanbing, they visited the Rail Transit Control Center and experienced Subway Line 3. 

Mr. Wang Xiaobing introduced the successful experience of Norinco International for the projects in Iran, Ethiopia, Laos, and Burma and some other countries. He expressed his strong wishes to participate in the development of Sri Lankan modern Rail Transit. Mr. Rajapaksa was impressed by this visit, and stated that he is confident in the capacity of Norinco International. Mr. Rajapaksa expects the Rail Transit program in Colombo to be executed by Norinco and come to use soon.
